The Waterhole by Graeme Base

Well, I thought it best to add another review to my fiddy books you can't put down, especially since I've on done one other so far - naughty smacks! ;) So here goes, with a little blurb to paints the picture:

"Down to the secret waterhole the animals all come, as seasons bring fourth drought and flood, they gather there as one. United in their common need, their numbers swell to ten, but hidden deep amongst the trees lie ten times that again!"

I've always loved Base's books, the illustrations are fantastic and in such vivid colour. I love that it's not just a book you read, there's counting, puzzels and you actually learn something while reading it. I know, when I was a kid I'd spend ages trying to find all the hidden animals, or just looking at the illustrations (what kid didn't try copying them), all of his books have translated really well through time and they're just as popular, if not more so - especially with the new Animalia tv show, which I must admit freaks me out completely!! Anyway this is a worthy addition to any collection, from books for the littles, right on through until they're older and can enjoy it on their own.

Hello Cutie

Well it's been a little while, I've been rather busy the last couple of weeks, but I though I post a few photos of the latest addition to the family Josie May, she's a little cutey, still no pictures of Bailey, but I'm looking forward to seeing him soon. It was an amazing experience to be able to go into the theatre for the cesar, something I didn't think I would get to do. I will be nice and not post any photos of that!! I'm missing her something fierce, I got snuggles for two week and now I have to go without for 3 weeks...not happy jan. Here's another one, can't help myself, she's soooo cute!!!!Okay, that's enough mooning for me, at least til the next lot of photo's are edited :) Enjoy your weekend, I'm working but the little pay fairy is looking after me this weekend, 8 hours of lovely overtime, just in time for my week in Cairns, can't wait...look out sharks here I come - yes I'm gonna swim with sharks, among other death defying holiday activities.

Bah...Who needs sleep!!!

Okay, I'v been rather neglectful, but it's been a busy couple of weeks, so I thought I would say super quick hola as it's late and I've just finished typing my assignment up and I need to sleep as I'm having trouble making my fingers type the right thing. So quick overview of things to come: BABIES - two of them!!, some book reviews and a very citing and much anticipated review of Dog the Bounty Hunter, movie review, BJJ competition fun and much more...cited aren't you...I can tell :)

Well possums, I'll leave it there as I just fell asleep for a second!! Not good, specially cause I'm supposed to be getting up at 8:30 today. >:(
